Springtime Beauty

Halle Dingeldein and Joseph Austin were married at the Woodland Grotto at the Inn at Stonecliffe on Sunday May 25, 2025. With daytime temps in the mid 50’s the sunshine brought delightful warmth to the cool breezes enjoyed by guests and family from all over the country.

Halle and her bridesmaids got ready in the spacious Summerhouse suites, while Joseph and his groomsmen are in front of the 3 bedroom 2.5 bath Hill Top cottage that the Austin family enjoyed. Photographer Sara Wright of It’s Wonderful Photography arrived early to begin photographing Halle, Joseph and their family.

Joseph caught his first look at Halle in front of the Stonecliffe Mansion. The stairs leading up to the suites are adorned with beautiful stained glass windows. The front door leads to this delightful atrium complete with chandelier.

The Woodland Grotto is one of several locations for a wedding and the privacy and greenery the surrounds the site makes it a perfect place for a magical garden wedding. As the doors open, all stand and here comes Halle and her father.

The Sunset Pavillion’s 3000 square feet provided plenty of room for dinner and dancing!

“One of our favorite moments was taking a walk and dancing with one another as we looked out on to the Straits of Mackinac. As the sun set, the water reflected back the light, catching all of the colors. The air had a chill to it that caused us to hold one another even closer. It was the perfect ending of a magical day that we will never forget.”
